Our arrival started with Alvin and what an excellent welcoming! He’s seriously the sweetest such a gentleman, as are his fellow bellhop and valet staff. Room was roomy, clean and comfortable. Live music in upstairs lobby at night was another great touch!

The hotel is nice, but the highlight of my experience there has been the valet. They are so helpful and personable. I had a broken leg at the times, and they helped with everything. Special thanks to Kelvin, Kylah, and Alvin (?), the Westin Cowboy!

Dissappointing buffet, dirty public restrooms.

I travel globally over 100 days per year. I wasn't staying at the Westin, but decided to have breakfast at the buffet this morning. What a dissappointment. US$26 before tip. Service was fine, but the buffet was like a 2 star roadside hotel, not a 4 star downtown hotel. The photo below is the entire buffet offering. The main lobby toilets were very dirty. Paper everywhere and surfaces not cleaned. This is not the Westin/ Bonvoy quality I see in other hotels around the world.

Stayed here for four nights on business. The good: All of the staff I encountered were extremely friendly. The restaurant staff at breakfast always had a smile and were extremely attentive and service oriented. Kudos to the restaurant management. Decent coffee in the lobby in the morning. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Fridge in the room was nice. Staff acknowledged Titanium status at check in and I was given a Jr. Suite. The bad: There is no Marriott or Westin concierge/elite lounge. My room had a strange musty odor which I think was coming from the ventilation system. My junior suite was long and deep and extremely dark in spite of having 4 lights in the room. The furniture is all beige and brown and just feels tired and outdated. My biggest complaint was the bedding. The only blanket option was a really heavy synthetic comforter that was bulky and hot. I spent the night either cold under just a sheet or waking up sweating from trying to sleep under the comforter. I know many hotels make up the bed with a blanket and comforter so the comforter can be pulled back if it’s too warm. The mattress also felt soft and unsupported. Definitely not the quality I expect for Westin’s much touted “heavenly bed.” When I went to shower on the first morning, the shower gel container was completely empty. It was quickly rectified by the front desk, but it’s something housekeeping should be checking after each guest check out. Some days I got nice big fluffy towels and some days I got smaller scratchy towels. The buffet breakfast was sad. I received it for free, but I would not have been happy if I was paying $26. Fresh fruit was offered in two tiny serving bowls. The “hot” items were pretty much cold at 7:30 am. Scrambled eggs were plain awful with a weird gritty texture. Fresh omelets were on offer by request. Pastries were hard and definitely didn’t taste fresh. Only jam offerings were grape or orange marmalade. Breakfast definitely didn’t make me want to return to the restaurant for other meals. In short, I would only come back to this hotel if no other options are available. This hotel badly needs

the hotel itself is nice. comfortable rooms with a large bathroom. the hotel's pool section is nice, especially at sunrise. in addition, a good gym. breakfast ok. a bit narrow, but you can order more specialties for an additional fee. the hotel's surroundings are really dangerous, and there's really nothing there. a few restaurants and a small shop where you can get drinks and snacks. if you want to go see an NHL game, the arena is within walking distance.
